4x GRAMMY winners and hometown-Chicago icons Eighth Blackbird perform a set living in the space between stimulus and response. Collaborative inquiry during the pandemic resulted in unexpected outcomes. Featuring music by Andy Akiho, Amy Beth Kirsten, Gustavo Santaolalla, Fairouz and the world premier of Pamela Z’s Latency, Eighth Blackbird also brings to the stage performances by Grammy-award winning Lebanese-American tenor Karim Sulayman, Superstar Performance poet J. Ivy and 6X Apollo winner songstress powerhouse Tarrey Torae.
